MORE INFO: Each guitar is hand crafted and has been made in a limited edition of 10. The body is made of solid swamp ash. The neck is maple with jumbo frets, a 7.5 c-profile, and (as with the original) a no-logo headstock. She features a Gretsch Filtertron pickup in the neck position, and a hand wound, hand dipped, custom single-coil pickup at the bridge. The entire guitar, including hardware, has been reliced to resemble the notoriously battered telecaster that Haggis played exclusively from 1989-1992. Each instrument is signed by both Haggis and Dave under the neck plate, and is individually numbered.

MORE INFO: We always hated the way the e.p. sounded – no balls. Which, given the collective size of the bands bollocks, did not sit well with us. As we compiled the 21st anniversary reissues we found an original un-mastered copy of the record and fixed that problem. Now – BIG CAJONES! We also included five of the earliest recordings of the band known to exist. Changus Young wrote part 1 of The Horsemen Story as sleeve-notes. The triple gatefold sleeve also features a picture from the Robert John’s first shoot with the original line-up of the band.

MORE INFO: This record is the culmination of a lifetime of living dangerously. I don’t know how Rick got it on vinyl, but he did – every last tortured note. We also dug out three songs we recorded at the same time that got tossed from the final version and included them. Changus Young continues with part 2 of The Horsemen Story. The triple gatefold sleeve also includes an out take from the original album photo shoot.

MORE INFO: The missing Horsemen album! At last! Is Frank on it? No – We weren’t talking at the time. This is a collection of songs recorded between the break-up of the band during the Nobody Said It Was Easy tour, and the reformation for Getting’ Pretty Good. It features Dave and I, southern singer/multi-instrumentalist Tim Beattie, ex-Cult Drummer Lez Warner, and bassist Duane D. Young. It was recorded in NYC whilst the dust settled. No one really knew whether the original band was ever going to record again. If we had, these are the songs we would have been playing. We've included ten previously unheard songs. There's also part 3 of The Horsemen Story. The triple gatefold sleeve features a shot of us taken in the studio. If you dig Tired Wings and Somethin’ Good, this is the next step up from there.

  Songs From The Mission

MORE INFO: Rated The Music Box's #3 album for 2003 - Songs from the Mission of Hope is an absorbing endeavor, and its songs are stunningly beautiful, flowing together in a way that gives the album a warm and inviting glow. Its gentle folk-pop melodies recall The Who's FM-radio staple Behind Blue Eyes. Most interesting of all is the manner in which Harris reconstructs the songwriting style of XTC, turning the orchestrated pop of Mummer and Apple Venus, Volume 1 into something that is decidedly more roots-oriented. In other words, Songs from the Mission of Hope is not only an interesting twist in the career of Stephen (Haggis) Harris, it’s also a welcome reminder that there is some truly tremendous music being made that lies far outside the realm of the major labels.

LINER NOTES EXCERPT : "...So understand that this DVD is the closest you're going to get to seeing The Four Horsemen in all their purity. It's why you owe yourself some low lighting, a seat on the couch in your underwear and some booze. Crank the bastard up and you could do worse than having a fresh bacon sandwich lying around. Watch their goofiness, watch their wackiness, laugh at their crudity (even have a giggle at Kate Moss...that wasn't a typo) but also notice their musicianship, their material, their performance and their chemistry. It was so good, so pure, so sweet. And at least, thanks to Haggis and Dave, we have this fine record to start re-learning, and remembering, The Four Horsemen by."

MORE INFO: We formed The Horsemen in late 1987. But from 1985 to 1986 I was in a band called Zodiac Mindwarp and the Love Reaction. In 2006 I compiled a collection of all the known footage of the original band and put out a DVD. This triple gatefold digipak also includes a live show on CD and a 16 page color booklet full or rare photos, reviews and the story of the band during the early years. The DVD/CD set was a limited edition of 900, and only available in the UK. I just found some copies in the basement. For anyone who wants to find out where the late eighties resurgence of what became known as "biker-rock" came from - here it is. -Haggis, October 2009
